BEADED COLLAR

For this collar I used DMC Cebelia No 40 in Ecru, (my favourite, I use it for just about everything) and a size 0.6mm steel crochet hook. It works out a good size for a 12 inch Teddy.
31 small pearl beads were used, which can be threaded before you start, or as I did, when you get to the last row break off enough cotton to complete and thread beads from other end. I just find it easier to
work without beads tangling all the time.
Chain 98 to begin
Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook and each chain across (97sc)
Row 2: ch 6 for 1st trc and space, *skip next 2 sc, trc in next sc. Repeat from * to end. Ch 1, turn
Row 3: sc in 1st trc, *3 sc in next space, sc in next trc. Rpt from * to end
Row 4: ch 4 for 1st dc and space. Skip 1st 2 sc, dc in next sc. *ch1, skip next sc, dc in next sc.
Rpt from * to end . ch1, turn
Row 5: sc in 1st dc and next space. Sc in next dc, sc in space, sc in dc. *ch5, sl st in same sc just
Made. (sc in next space, sc in next dc) 4 times. Rpt from * to end. Ch 1, turn
Row 6: sc in 1st sc. *ch 11, skip 7 sc, sc in next sc (centre sc between picots). Rpt from * to end.
Ch 1 turn
Row 7: work 15 sc in each loop across. Turn
Row 8: sl st to 6th sc of 1st loop. Ch 4, dc in next st. (ch 1, dc in next sc) 3 times.
*ch 1, dc in 6th sc of next loop. (ch 1, dc in next sc) 4 times. Rpt from * to end.
Ch 1 turn.
Row 9: sc in 1st dc, *ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, trc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, sc in next dc, sc in next loop, sc in next dc. Repeat from * to end. Ch 1, turn
Row 10: sc in 1st sc, 2 sc in next space, sc in next dc, 2 sc in next space.
Sc in next trc, ch 1, attach bead, ch 1, sl st in same trc just worked.
2 sc in next space, sc in next dc, 2 sc in next space, sc in next 2 sc, ch 1, attach bead, ch 1,
sc in same sc of previous row just worked. Continue across in this way attaching beads as before.
Fasten off
Darn in ends and thread with fine ribbon.
