Miniature Doll's House Doily

Materials:

 

Size 80 or 100 cotton would be good but as it is next to impossible to obtain here I substituted normal sewing cotton.  (100% cotton, not polyester).

 

Other requirements, good close up vision and a steady hand!  Finished doily measures just over an inch (3 cm) across.

 

Ch5, join to form a ring.

 

Rnd  1:  Ch1, 12sc in ring.  Sl st to join in 1st sc.

 

Rnd  2:  Ch1, sc in same st as join.  Ch3, *sc in next sc, ch3.  Rpt from * around.  Sl st in 1st sc to join.

 

Rnd  3:  Sl st into 1st loop.  Ch1, 3sc in same loop.  3 sc in next loop and each loop around.  Sl st to join in 1st sc.

 

Rnd  4:  Sl st in next sc.  Ch1, sc in same st.  Ch5, *skip 2sc, sc in next sc.  Ch5.  Rpt from * around.  sl st to join in 1st sc.

 

Rnd  5:  Sl st into 1st loop.  Ch1, sc in same loop.  (Ch3, sc in same loop again) 3 times.  *sc in next loop.  (Ch3, sc in same loop again) 3 times.  Rpt from * around.  Sl st in 1st sc to join.

 

Rnd  6:  Sl st in 1st 3ch loop.  Ch3.  5dc in next 3ch loop.  *Dc 2 together over next 2 loops.  5dc in next 3ch loop.  (Note – to dc 2 tog; yo, insert hook in next loop and pull up thread.  Yo and pull through 2 loops on hook.  Yo, insert hook in next 3ch loop and pull up thread.  Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook.  Yo and pull through remaining 3 loops on hook).

Rpt from * to last loop.  Work a dc in last loop and sl st to join in top of beginning ch3.

 

Rnd  7:  Sc in next dc.  *(ch2, sc in next dc) 4 times.  Sl st in next st, sc in next dc.  Rpt from * around, ending with a sl st to join.

 

Fasten off.
